SFSI is a consortium of the largest Government-sponsored public agencies responsible for the agriculture and food sectors in Ireland.
Consortium members include:
Parent Ministry and competent authority for policy, legislation, and enforcement; provision of veterinary and EU payments agency services.
Science-based innovation in the agri-food sector and broader bio-economy; provides integrated research, education and extension services to the sector.
Central competent authority responsible for enforcement of food legislation to protect Irish consumers and the consumers of Irish food around the world.
Promotes and develops markets for Irish food and drink, operates quality assurance and sustainability programmes for industry including Origin Green.
Invests in the capability and capacity of the Irish food industry, and promotes Ireland as a location for inward investment in food.
